Lincoln Parish School District is proud to celebrate the impressive academic achievements of our students and educators during the 2024–2025 school year. From math and literacy gains to college-level performance on AP exams, our schools continue to lead the way across the state.

LEAP Growth & Top-Ten Ranking
This year, 42% of Lincoln Parish students in grades 3–8 scored Mastery or above on their LEAP assessments—a 1% increase from the previous year and 7 points higher than the state average of 35%. These results have earned Lincoln Parish a spot among the top ten school districts in Louisiana for overall student proficiency.

ELA Success
In English Language Arts (ELA), our students continue to shine:

  • 48% of grades 3–8 students earned Mastery or above on the ELA LEAP assessments, which is 5 points above the state average of 43%.

  • Students in grades K–3 demonstrated significant growth on the DIBELS early literacy screener, showing strong gains in foundational reading skills across all early grade levels.

Math Momentum
Lincoln Parish is also seeing steady growth in mathematics:

  • 42% of students in grades 3–8 achieved Mastery or above in math—a 2% increase from last year.

  • The district outperformed the state average by 9 points, a testament to the work being done to build strong math foundations at every school.

Advanced Placement (AP) Achievement
At the high school level, our students continue to excel in Advanced Placement coursework:

  • 265 qualifying AP scores were earned by students in grades 9–12 at Choudrant High School and Ruston High School.

  • Even more impressive, we achieved 100% passing rates in the following AP subjects:
    -Biology
    -Calculus BC
    -English Literature
    -Statistics

These results reflect the hard work of students and the strength of instruction provided by our dedicated high school teachers. Through AP, students are earning valuable college credit while still in high school.
