The Adopt-A-School program works by pairing Lincoln Parish schools with community partners, including businesses, churches, civic groups, and even individuals.

Throughout the 23 years of the Adopt-A-School program, the partnership between area schools and the Lincoln Parish community has flourished into a special relationship that has helped support both students and teachers in Lincoln Parish and given our partners a way to have an impact on the future of their community.

How it works:

  • Interested Adopt-A-School partners complete the new partner form and select the school(s) they would like to adopt.

  • Schools compile a wishlist of items and needs they may have throughout the year.

  • Once the wishlists are finalized, they are sent to the businesses that have adopted the schools, along with the schools' contact information.

  • Businesses are encouraged to review the wishlists and reach out to the schools to offer support. Schools may also contact businesses throughout the year with special requests for events, such as teacher appreciation.

  • The wishlists will include ways schools can recognize and show appreciation for the businesses partnership.
